For new construction, Thermalrock S40 laminated with a black tissue facing is designed to provide the acoustic performances for the plasterboard ceiling. Thermalrock S40 is made from volcanic stone with a melting point exceeding 1000ÂșC. This non-combustible insulation does not contribute to the spread of fire.

Insulating ceiling attics is a cost effective method, particularly for existing building where reinsulating the roof may be very costly.
